Local entrepreneur, Tasha Da Silva, is looking for a spot on West Kelowna City Council in next month’s civic election.

She is the president of the Glenrosa Resident Association, a member of the Greater Westside Board of Trade and a member of Accelerate Okanagan.

Da Silva is also the founder and CEO of Infuse I.T. Inc., a point of sales service for retail stores and restaurants.

A few of Da Silva’s priorities include supporting economic growth by investing in local businesses, advocating for affordable and attainable housing, investing in emergency services and healthcare facilities and ensuring the city sees smart development.

“There is much work to be done; in order to support our residents in their endeavors, make sure they have affordable and attainable housing, create and maintain community spaces for future generations and revitalize our plan for economic growth,” explains Da Silva.

"I’ve been lucky to have raised my daughter in such a wonderful community and believe that every West Kelowna resident should have access to affordable and attainable housing.”

She also points to the need to protect and preserve the city’s natural resources while balancing the residential and commercial needs of the growing city and population.
