Weather warnings have been issued for Hwy 1 and Hwy 3.
Hwy 3 from Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass is expected to see pockets of freezing rain today, Environment Canada warned.
It will also be present in the Similkameen region.
On Hwy 1 from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, meanwhile, between 15 and 25 centimetres of snow is expected to fall.

Environment Canada explained: "A Pacific frontal system will continue to give snow heavy at times to Rogers Pass today.
“The snow will become mixed with rain late this afternoon as snow levels rise.”
The agency added: “Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
“Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.”
