    Warriors acquire veteran forward from SJHL’s Hounds

    The West Kelowna Warriors continued their busy off-season on Wednesday by making another trade.

    This time, the club went out of the BCHL and acquired veteran forward Jarrett Penner from the SJHL’s Notre Dame Hounds.

    In exchange, forward Ryan Upson is heading to the Hounds in Saskatchewan.

    “We look forward to adding Jarrett to our roster. He is an impact player who will help us up front right away. He has a good skill set to go along with his large frame,” said Simon Ferguson, Warriors head coach and GM.

    “We would like to thank Ryan for his time here in West Kelowna. Ryan is a great person and we wish him nothing but the best with Notre Dame.”

    The 19-year-old Penner had 19 goals and 18 assists in 53 games for Notre Dame last season and he scored 22 goals and 17 assists in 56 games during his rookie season in 2018-19.
