  • Video: Wheel Love

At 16, Chelsea McEvoy made her first film as a student at Rutland Senior Secondary.  The now 29-year-old has been making movies ever since.

McEvoy recently put together a short trailer in hopes it would garner her a $50,000 Storyhive grant.

The trailer is about her love story – with the man of her dreams, James, and their hope to have a baby.

Awarded the grant, Wheel Love goes into production in November.

The 20-minute documentary will address topics like infertility and disability, as James is a T6-T7 complete paraplegic.

“I never wanted to be the subject of my own film, but here we go,” says McEvoy.

Once the documentary is completely produced, McEvoy hopes to enter it into film festivals.
