Upgrades to the Victoria International Airports lower passenger departure lounge have officially begun.

The Victoria Airport Authority (VAA) is documenting every step of the way through a series of YouTube videos.

In February, the VAA announced that it would be investing $19.4 million into an expansion of the lower passenger departure lounge.

The entirety of the project is expected to take 27 months.

“These improvements will not only improve overall safety and operations but will also enhance the airport experience for our customers by providing additional seating, new accessibility considerations and enhanced concessions,” said VAA President and CEO, Geoff Dickson.
