It was while advocating on behalf of Kelowna businesses over how to deal with downtown homelessness that it occurred to Tom Dyas to run for Mayor. He said trying to schedule meetings with city officials was frustrating. "We should do better," said Dyas. "And my concern was if there is leadership, who is actually steering the ship?"
