It's been trying times of late for anyone looking to bust a few moves to some live music. 

However, a new music video from Kelowna rock trio The Carbons shows there's nothing wrong with a little public dancing as long as you have the necessary space. 

The band's new single "Steel Toe Boots" features some slick Tik Tok inspired dance moves while celebrating all the people out there on the blue-collar nine to five. 

"The song is about a young tradesperson that is struggling to find stability but wouldn't trade his/her "dirty" job for a clean cubicle," said frontman Tomy Thisdale.

"We're just trying to inject some positivity, some laughs and hopefully some comedy." 

The song is driven by some bluesy guitar work and a foot-stomping groove, reminiscent of something you might hear at a Black Keys concert.

On that note, speaking of live music, just like the world's biggest rock bands The Carbons were forced to cancel tours throughout 2020. 

"It was a bummer, we were supposed to head out on tour to California last March," said Thisdale.

"However, we shifted focus to recording music and are currently in the middle of releasing a song a month for an entire year."
