  • VIDEO: Peachland carries on while huge fire smoulders nearby

The massive Mt. Eneas fire still looms around Peachland, and it's not yet under control. But crews got the upper hand over the weekend. Many evacuation orders have been downgraded to alerts. So people are back to enjoying the summer, while crews work to get the big blaze contained.

Yesterday, crews merged the fire with the nearby Munro Creek fire, to create one larger fire. The purpose was to remove fuel in some tougher terrain that might have been more difficult if the fire got into that area on its own.
