VIDEO: Meet the woman who’s job it is to make voting easy

Advanced polling which began today, is just one of the ways, the City of Kelowna is working to make voting as easy as possible.

"We do our best," said Karen Needham, the city's Chief Election Officer. "We want to make it accessible to people."

There is mail-in voting, special voting in care homes, voter assistance at the polls, and no requirement to register ahead of time.

Just show up at one of the many polling stations with two pieces of ID.

And as we discovered in an interview at KelownaNow, the city has made a special effort to reach out to young people to encourage them to have their voices heard.
