  • VIDEO: Crown Prince of Dubai takes a wild ride

The City of Dubai is now known for having the world's longest urban zipline.

Dubai's Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, took the plunge on Monday and based on the video, he seemed to have a great time flying over the city.

The new XLine not only boasts a lengthy one-kilometre ride, it's incredibly fast and steep, with an incline of 16 degrees and reaching speeds of up to 80 kilometres per hour.

In 2.5 seconds, riders run from zero to 60 km/hr, as they take off from a height of 170 metres and land on ground level.

The company's first zipline ran across Downtown Dubai. But this new XLine ride takes place in Dubai Marina and is twice as long as the first.
