Here are some of the events happening in Victoria this weekend that you can check out!
Every Child Matters Ceremony & South Island Powwow
Saanich Parks and Recreation
This Friday is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and you’ll find a couple of free events to attend. The South Island Powwow will be at the Royal Athletic Park starting at 10 am. The City will also be hosting a ceremony at Centennial Square with guest speakers at 10 am.
Local Folk Fair Harvest Market
A harvest market will be taking place at the Junction Orchard and Cidery on Saturday. From 11 am to 4 pm, you can browse through 30 artisan vendors, plus see some live art and music. There will also be food and drink offerings, workshops and more.
Foggy Isle Film Festival
On Friday, you can catch the second day of the Foggy Isle Film Festival, which is taking place at the Victoria Event Centre. The festival is all about dark comedy and macabre-themed films.
Victoria’s Ultimate Hobby & Toy Fair
On Saturday and Sunday, you can visit a toy fair at the Pearkes Rec Centre. There will be action figures, vintage toys, models, trains, comics, Barbies, LEGO and more.
Moss Street Market
Hit up the Moss Street Market on Saturday at the Sir James Douglas school grounds from 10 am to 2 pm. Stock up on veggies, or look at the various craft vendors.
