An annual Christmas fundraising event is back in downtown Victoria.

Each year, professional and amateur bakers spend hundreds of hours creating edible gingerbread displays for the Habitat for Humanity’s Gingerbread Showcase.

The displays draw in visitors over the holidays to donate to vote for their favourite creations. The gingerbread display with the most votes wins the People’s Choice Award. 

The showcase raises funds to help local families achieve a hand-up into affordable homeownership. 

This year, the showcase has a new location — the stunning Hotel Grand Pacific in the Victoria Harbourfront.

Until Jan. 4, 2024, you can vote, donate, and visit the displays between 9 am and 9 pm daily.
