Two Victoria area football fans received some good news ahead of the holiday season.

Samantha Province and Edward Angus correctly guessed the outcomes of 12 out 13 games in NFL week 10 playing Toto, a Sports Action betting game, netting them $26,829.95 in winnings. 

The pair found themselves in disbelief when they learned of their winnings: 

“Our first thought was that the BCLC Lotto! app had made an error,” said Angus. “We were in pure disbelief.”

They plan to save some of the earnings for their child’s education and have plans to help out a local charity:

“We have our first baby on the way so we would like to put money away for our baby’s education,'' said Province “We would also like to donate to a local charity especially with Christmas around the corner.”

Prize money on the Toto app fluctuates based on the number of tickets sold as well as how many individuals guess correctly on a given week. On this particular occasion, three separate parties split a total prize pot of $99,220.12.
