Summer has arrived!
And with yesterday’s weather, this comes as no surprise.
Yesterday, Victoria was sitting at a beautiful 24 degrees.
This temperature has become a new record high for our region with the former record being 23.3 degrees in 1941.
Although we are expected to see some showers this weekend, this recent record break promises that warmer days are here!
"An upper ridge that has been bringing sunshine and record-breaking daytime highs for parts of the province will give way to a cool upper low that will bring increasing cloud and the threat of rain to the area this weekend," says Wesla English, NowMedia Meteorologist.
It wasn't just a hot day for Victoria. Altogether, 16 places all over B.C. experienced new record highs.
