    UPDATE: Hwy 97 reopen following vehicle incident near Lake Country

    (Update: Nov. 5 @ 4:05 pm): Highway 97 is now reopened near Gatzke Road in Lake Country following a vehicle incident. 

    DriveBC says an assessment is still in progress and heavy congestion can be expected northbound.

    (Update: Nov. 5 @ 3:35 pm): According to DriveBC the vehicle incident at Gatzke Road in Lake Country has resulted in the closure of the southbound lane.

    A detour has been made available via Pelmewash Parkway.

    (original story: Nov. 5 @ 2:45 pm): A vehicle incident has been reported southbound on Highway 97, 13 kilometres north of Kelowna. 

    According to DriveBC an assessment is in progress at Gatzke Road in Lake Country. Motorists can expect delays.
