Just as we looked to put a week of wildfires in the Kamloops Fire Centre behind us, two new fires were discovered between Merrit and Lillooet.

The first fire was discovered at Spences Bridge while the second was near Nooaitch. Both fires sprouted up some time on Sunday.

The Spences Bridge blaze is only 0.43 hectares, but the Nooaitch fire sits at 6.00 hectares. 

Both fires, which surround a third fire that's been burning since April 4th, are suspected to be human-caused.
