One of Vancouver’s most notable vegan restaurants, MeeT, has its eyes set on the island.
Specializing in vegan comfort food, the restaurant has been creating quite a buzz amongst the island's vegan community, who are eagerly awaiting the day they can enjoy MeeT's cruelty-free creations without having to hop on the ferry.
The hype comes after the establishment posted a listing to fill a general manager's position on Indeed.com for the company's first location outside of Vancouver.
Despite not having a brick and mortar location ready to go, the MeeT crew are ready to grow their "TeeM" with hopes of training new members for at least six months.
"While we don't have an open date yet, we would like someone to start training with us now!" reads the post.
"The successful candidate will work with us in Vancouver for at least six months until we go live in Victoria."
MeeT is not the only vegan restaurant to expand to the island this year. Vancouver’s well-known vegan pizzeria, Virtuous Pie, said back in 2018 that they are to open Victoria’s first location.
The pizzeria is slated to open later this year inside a 2,300 square foot establishment on lower Pandora.
Until MeeT finalizes a location and Virtuous Pie opens its doors, the vegans of Victoria will just have to drool over their delicious looking Instagram's for a bit longer.
