On June 22, 2018, Prince George RCMP received a report that a stolen Kenworth semi-truck from Whitecourt Alberta was seen heading west on Highway 16 towards Prince George.
The stolen truck was pulling a flatbed trailer with a bulldozer on it.
Multiple officers located the truck along 1st Avenue.
According to police, the driver of the truck pulled over and it was confirmed to have been stolen from Whitecourt.
The two occupants were arrested without incident.
Checks of the trailer determined that the trailer and bulldozer were stolen from Edson Alberta the previous day. The total value of the property was approximately $500,000.
Darren Robert Kelly, 45-years-old, and Grenville Clarke, 29-years-old, have both been charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Kelly was also charged with possession of break-in instruments.
Both men are from Edson, Alberta and are set to appear in provincial court later today.
