If you have been interested in learning more about stand up paddle boarding (SUP) but were unsure about where to begin, this open house is for you.
The Kelowna Paddle Centre (KPC) will be hosting their spring open house on Sat., April 30 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the public is encouraged to come down and check it out. Visitors will have a chance to try an outrigging canoe or learn more about programs offered through the Centre, which is located at 3020 Abbott Street.

It has been a year since the new home for the Paddle Centre was opened and membership has grown to 350 members, with over 300 participants in public programs taking advantage of the centre.
In 2015, KPC offered a variety of public programs for all ages and abilities, including Stand Up Paddling for families, Introduction to SUP, SUP for Kids and Kids Camp. This season they will be adding other opportunities to enjoy paddling on the lake, including Parent & Tot Paddling, Youth SUP Program, Ladies Outrigger Night, 50+ Outrigger Paddling and Introduction to Outrigger.

As an added bonus, if you sign up to be a member by April 29 or at the open house, KPC will enter your name into a draw give away for an Electra Townie from Fresh Air.
