Travel advisory in effect for most of Hwy 3

DriveBC has issued a travel advisory for Hwy 3.

It was originally put in place on Boxing Day for Manning Park and the Allison Pass, but DriveBC tweeted about it this morning and warned about the snow that’s fallen at the Kootenay Pass.

Drivers are urged to check highway webcams, conditions and for any potential closures before travelling.

Hwy 3 is the only highway under any kind of DriveBC advisory today as other typical problem spots like Hwy 1, Hwy 5 and Hwy 97C are in great condition at the moment.
