    The Nutcracker

    Celebrate the season with a Kelowna holiday classic! The Nutcracker, which will be performed by the Canadian School of Ballet along with guest artists from Ballet Kelowna, has shows running from December 8th to 10th. Whether this show has become an annual tradition for you, or you’ve not yet been, this year’s performance is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.

    As the Sun Burns: The Christmas Party

    On December 2nd, the New Vintage Theatre will be performing The Christmas Party, a special holiday edition of their popular live soap opera. It’s funny, festive, and there will be door prizes for everyone who dresses up like a Who or the Grinch!

    A Christmas Spectrum: A Musical Gala

    Have fun, feel enlightened and give back at A Christmas Spectrum on December 3rd, which supports autism awareness in the community and is aiming to raise one million dollars for the cause. Produced by Lana Caputi, the show will feature Christmas songs performed by local vocal talent, two full choirs, a full orchestra, and an international dance ensemble. There will also be videos and performances to raise autism awareness and a silent auction.

    Oh What a Night!

    Fans of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, this one is for you! Thirty of the group’s hits will be performed in a holiday tribute, Oh What a Night!, on December 13th this year. Relive the glory days at this spectacular show and, hey, maybe even sing along if you feel inclined!

    Ringing in the Season

    The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra will be Ringing in the Season with a setlist of classic Christmas carols on December 22nd. The orchestra will be accompanied by BC’s most well-known handbell ringers, as well as talented harmonica player Anthony Lau. It’s sure to be a  fun and festive evening of music for the entire family.

    The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour

    Just because Christmas comes to an end, that doesn’t mean that the fun has to! On December 28th, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will be bringing the excitement of the mountains to the Kelowna Community Theatre. This is the perfect gift for the adventure-seeker on your list!

    New York New Years

    Send 2017 out with a bang at this year’s New York New Years, a free and family-friendly event put on by Festivals Kelowna on December 31st. There will be activities galore spanning from Stuart Park to the Kelowna Community Theatre, including live music, activity stations, free goodies, food trucks, face painting, bouncy inflatables and more! There will also be a fireworks show at 9:00 PM.
