    The Weeknd wins big at the Junos

    It’s the biggest night for music in Canada—and Ontario’s own The Weeknd walked away with top honours.

    Not only did he win the Juno Award for Single of the Year, with Can’t Feel My Face, he also won Album of the Year for Beauty Behind the Madness.

    In other news, “Here” singer Alessia Cara, who also hails from Ontario, won Breakthrough Artist of the Year, a huge honour for the 18-year-old artist.

    Country Album of the Year went to Dean Brody, for Gypsy Road. Brody isn’t a stranger to success, with many CCMA and JUNO Awards already on his mantel, including twin 2014 Country Album of the Year prizes for his 2013 release, Crop Circles.

    JUNO Fan Choice Award went to Justin Bieber, who didn’t attend the award show, although it seems he’ll always be a soft spot in the hearts of Canadians.
