The 5th annual Okanagan Tattoo Show kicked off on Friday night at the Kelowna Curling Club. An event that features all things tattoos and the culture surrounding it, the Okanagan Tattoo Show is highly anticipated by both the artists and public that get to attend.
The weekend long event has grown significantly from last year, welcoming over 120 artists from across Canada, the U.S. and even Mexico.

These artists bring with them their own unique style, offering up something for every genre of tattooing, all in one convenient location.
“This gives you a really great chance to collect a tattoo from someone that normally you’d never get to see,” said Rob Jobe, the event’s artist coordinator.

In addition to the artists, attendees can also enjoy a large number of vendors' tables featuring everything from apparel to vinyl records.

A new addition for the 2017 show is the Brewfest, which features creations from dozens of Okanagan breweries, wineries, and cideries, along with live music from some of our best local musicians.
It’s not all tattoos, beer and music though, this is an event the whole family can enjoy. On Sunday, there will be face painting, airbrush tattoos and games for the little ones.

If you are hoping to get inked this weekend, the process is easier than you may think. First, find an artist whose style you like, next, check their social media for availability and finally, book your appointment.

Some artists are even doing walk ups, so it can be as easy as walking up and saying “Hello”.

The event is running this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
