It was with pride that constables Reg Sahay and Chris Brinnen told us it's only a few times a year that their dogs actually bring down a suspect. The vast majority of the time, a mere warning from a dog handler is enough to bring a chase to an end.

The pair sat down with KelownaNow to tell us what it takes to be a member of a dog team, the skills the dogs bring to the police force and the decision making process they go through before they ever release the animal on a fleeing suspect.
