The 8th annual Easter Egg Scramble in support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank, took place this afternoon at the Johnson Bentley Sports Field in West Kelowna.
12,000 Easter eggs were placed across the field, and children ages 10 years and younger were encouraged to find as many eggs as possible.

As an added bonus, 25 eggs also housed a golden egg. Children who found a golden egg (with a ticket number inside) received an extra Easter surprise basket.

Although the event is focused on creating a fun-filled day for families and children, the Easter Egg Scramble benefits the Central Okanagan Food Bank.

Food Bank volunteers were on site collecting donations from generous participants.

Attendees could donate by either offering non-perishable food items, purchasing a raffle ticket or grabbing lunch at the hot dog tent.

Thousands came out to show their support, and hundreds of eager little ones got to participate in this great annual tradition for a great cause.
