1000×5 is a unique initiative that aims to ensure every child has access to books at home and has experienced the magic of 1000 books by the age of 5.

Her background as an elementary school principal lends weight to her insights, emphasizing the profound impact that literature can have on young minds.

At 1000×5, they collect donated books, which are then sorted into age categories and distributed.

Eby proudly reveals that, on average, 3000 books are mailed out each month, accumulating to a remarkable total of 320,000 books sent to date.

They delve into the importance of early learning through reading, writing, listening, and speaking, where Eby says, "Reading at home is the single greatest predictor of early success in school."
