Hey! My name is Shayne Masyoluk and I’m here to help people share their story. I’m a filmmaker at heart and have been running a small production company out of the Okanagan for the last 4 years. I spend most of my time in a dark room editing, but when I'm not I’m usually in the gym or out on a cliff flying drones.
Why do you use Instagram?
Instagram has always been a place for me to document my life/work, but the main reason I use Instagram is to connect with other filmmakers and creatives from all over the world. I think it’s incredible that you can connect with almost anyone with just a click of a button.
What will people see on your feed?
Coming to my Instagram profile you will see a range of things, from drone videos to short cinematic clips even some behind the scenes from projects I’ve worked on. Overall you will see a visual representation of my life from the last 5 Years.
Does your page have a specific style?
I would consider what I shoot as mostly “documentary” or “cinematic” style. I really love the aspect of documentary storytelling but love the visual aspect of big Hollywood movies.

Why do you follow KelownaNow?
I follow KelownaNow for all of the local news that’s happening in the Okanagan. I also love seeing the photos and videos from the events that happen!
How do you decide on your location for shoots?
It all comes down to the theme of the video, each is unique but I find shooting in the Okanagan you have so many options for locations. I usually just hop on the good ol’ Instagram and check out some of the locations people have been shooting at and see if it matches the vision of the film!
Biggest Instagram moment?
My biggest Instagram moment was probably when I got to meet @garyvee and @drock in Vancouver by chance while he was walking back to his hotel. All the while making friends with @danny_gets_fit and becoming good friends. It was an amazing experience overall.
