Photography has been my passion ever since I can remember. In 2000, I started my own business and have done a large variety of work including weddings, sports, portraits, travel, landscape and creative studio digital editing/retouching. I’m lucky I can incorporate my work into the things I love to do. I see beauty in everything, making my creative possibilities endless.
Why do you use Instagram?
Instagram is a great way to connect with other photographers in the area, as well as to branch out globally. Overall, Instagram has been the best platform for me to showcase my work and I find inspiration in other’s work as well.
What will people see on your feed?
My feed is always changing and consists of a wide variety of photos which include creative studio collaborations, animals, landscape and travel.
Do you have a specific style?
As you can see by the variety on my feed, I do not limit myself to one type of photo or subject matter. I let the location and the subject inspire my creativity.
Favourite Instagram accounts to follow?
@lindsayadler_photo: A fashion and commercial photographer from NYC. Her creative lighting and posing have been a great inspiration for my studio and model photography.
@sarahlyndsayphotography: A Salmon Arm landscape photographer who creates beautiful images. Definitely a page to follow for inspiration.
@nigelexplores: A local Kamloops photographer who travels and explores some great places in and out of our province. Check out some of his great photos and locations.

KamloopsBCNow is a great place to connect with other local photographers and to find out what's happening in our area.
How do you decide on the location for your shoots?
My shoots are based on my adventures, whether that's travel, camping or exploring new areas. My eyes are always open to new locations and my camera is always close by to capture those unexpected moments.
Biggest Instagram moment?
I don’t think there is “one moment,” but there have been a few noteworthy features as well as being recognized as a top post by using some of my favourite hashtags. Being recognized on such a global platform is very inspiring.
Favourite Hashtags?
The hashtags I use depend on what type of photo I am posting. They will be different when posting either a landscape, people or travel etc. Here are a few that I use often: #hellobc, #explorebc, #nikontop, #nikon_canada #explorekamloops, #endlessfaces, #facesobsessed, #exclusive_wildlife and of course #kamloopsbcnow.
