Okanagan born and raised, I picked up a camera a few years ago during my first trip abroad and never really put it down. Photographyhas become an incredible way for me to share my experiences and also
gain inspiration from the experiences of others. Whether I am here at home or on another continent you will usually find me outside, astonished and hungry for the next adventure.
Why do you use Instagram?
Instagram is a great way for me to connect with other artists and influencers. It’s full of talented photographers and content creators that are a constant source of inspiration and motivation. Instagram also provides a platform for photographers to give context to the images we share, a sort of visual story. It’s an opportunity to offer a unique perspective on a visual that may have been photographed 100 times before.
What will people see on your feed?
Places, animals and things from this corner of the world, a few other corners and all of my adventures in between.
Does your page have a specific style?
I love shooting landscapes and capturing vivid, natural colours. Growing up in the Okanagan has definitely fostered a focus on adventure and lifestyle photography. As a biology nerd, I have a major interest in wildlife photography and am always looking for opportunities to develop those skills.

Why do you follow KelownaNow?
KelownaNow showcases the beauty of our city and promotes community interaction. It’s also a great way for me to keep up with what’s happening in Kelowna and the Okanagan.
How do you decide on your location for shoots?
I am forever searching out new places and experiences, but there are a few Okanagan gems I find myself returning to time and time again. Some locations are planned and others are spontaneous. A few of my favourite images are the result of setting out with a very specific plan and ending up with something completely different.
Biggest Instagram moment?
Moments when friends, family or complete strangers take the time to offer support and feedback on my work mean so much to me. It’s extremely motivating to feel that others care about what you’re doing.
