Sun Peaks Resort is almost back up and running.
According to a release from the resort, summer operations will be reopening throughout the entire month of June. The resort will be implementing modifications to normal operating procedures to keep staff, guests, and the community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This summer, the resort's goal is to provide guests with opportunities to explore wide-open spaces in the mountains through key summer activities of biking, alpine hiking, and golf.

"We are thrilled to be able to open for summer and allow people to get outdoors and recreate in the safe environment of the mountains," said Aidan Kelly, Chief Marketing Officer, Sun Peaks Resort. "We have worked diligently to develop an operating plan that thoughtfully meets guidelines while helping play a role in providing an outlet for guests after what we have all been through in recent months.”
Starting on Saturday, the golf course will open to members only, with everyone being allowed in by June 26. The bike park and hiking trails will have limited openings for pass holders on June 26, and then to the public on June 29. Other amenities will also reopen in the coming weeks, but they have not been announced.
