Disneyland’s highly anticipated new world is set to open ahead of schedule.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open at Disneyland in California on May 31 before opening at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on Aug. 29.
It will mean that the new world will open in a pair of phases, but it does allow patrons to sooner enjoy the special Star Wars experience.
When it opens, phase one will see guests transported to the remote planet of Batuu, full of unique sights, sounds, smells and tastes.
Later this year, it’ll open phase two, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which Disneyland calls the most ambitious, immersive and advanced attraction ever imagined.
Guests will be placed in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance and the theme park promises it’ll blur the lines between fantasy and reality.

Of course, guests will also be able to hop on the Millenium Falcon and speed through the galaxy.
You’ll play one of three unique and critical roles, as some will be pilots, other gunners and the rest flight engineers, creating multiple ways for guests to experience the attraction.
One thing’s for sure, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be a must visit attraction for Star Wars fans after it opens on May 31.
