  • Somebody stole Frances McDormand’s Oscar at the after party

Frances McDormand had quite the Sunday night.

The star of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri won her second Oscar for Actress in a Leading Role, 21 years after winning her first for her performance in Fargo.

After receiving the Oscar, she gave an impassioned speech that included a call for all the women nominees in the room to stand with her in solidarity.

Her speech was one of the highlights of the night, but the low light came a couple of hours later at the Governors Ball, which acts as the after-party for the Oscars.

McDormand’s brand new Oscar went missing at the Governors Ball and the 60-year-old was spotted in tears outside the venue.

A search began and thankfully Wolfgang Puck’s photographer was able to stop the man and retrieve the Oscar.

He even got a photo of the thief, but the man disappeared back into the ball and a relieved McDormand said to just let him go free.
