This is some breaking news!
Two BCWS crews contained a small wildfire reported on Wednesday near the TransCanada highway.
The 2.28-hectare wildfire is west of Kamloops along Hwy 1, near Savona. It was just outside of Savona's jurisdiction.

Six BCWS firefighters attended the fire and were able to bring it under control. BCWS says the highway was unaffected by the fire, and no structures were threatened.
According to BCWS, the fire was a surface burn suspected to have been human-caused.
