With Halloween just a few days away, families within the community are hitting the stores in search of candy and costume supplies.  

Halloween is highly anticipated as the one night a year where you can get dressed up, knock on your neighbour's doors and receive free candy. 

However, this beloved tradition is taking quite the hit in the small town of Bathurst, New Brunsuick. As of October 16th, the community passed a bylaw stating that individuals over the age of 16 will not be permitted to Trick or Treat.

In addition, masks or facial disguises must not be worn after 8 p.m. and all Trick or Treating activities must end by that hour as well, or participants will be subject to fines. 

KelownaNow took the streets of downtown Kelowna to get the opinions of some locals passing by.
