Marquis-Foster spent parts of three years working for the district. The school board thanked her for service, noting that she played a huge part in the operationalization of the Strategic Plan and her focus on student success.
"The board will be meeting in the coming days to start the search for an interim and our next Superintendent," said Board Chair Tim Bennett.
There is no word yet on who or when someone will replace Marquis-Foster.
