Locals are celebrating the arrival of fall and Halloween season this Sunday at the 9th annual URBA Scarecrow Festival.

Despite a chilly start featuring strong winds and hail, the community of Rutland is persistent in bringing Kelowna a day of autumn themed fun.

With uplifting live music, food trucks, bouncy castles, face painting and a vendor's village this event has something for the whole family.

However it wouldn’t be the scarecrow festival without scarecrows and there are plenty, and even more to come with the traditional scarecrow building contest. Families worked together to bring their creations to life side by side.
