Get to Know: Death Machine

If you are a lover of all things loud and heavy, Death Machine might just be your new favourite band!
Known for downright savage riffs, exorbitant energy and high proficiency when it comes to their instruments — this band of long-haired metalheads takes no prisoners when it comes to carving out their spot in the Okanagan metal scene.
Tell us about the inception of Death Machine?
Technically the band started when most of us were in middle school or highschool, however, we didn't start taking ourselves seriously until about 3 years ago when our drummer Taylor joined the band.

How would you categorize your music and where do you draw inspiration from?
We play technical death metal and draw inspiration from listening to other genres of music outside of it.
For those of you who are already fans of bigger acts like The Black Dahlia Murder or Obscura, Death Machine will more than likely tickle your fancy.

What achievement are you most proud of so far in your musical career?
Over the last two years we have been playing, we are proud to have been able to share our music with other like-minded individuals.
Music should make you feel something no matter the genre. If we can help to remove people's frustrations in the pit with our music as the influence, then we have done our job.

What is your favourite part about being involved with the Okanagan music scene?
The love and support from every single person who is involved. Whether they come to the shows, put on the shows, or are involved in other bands. You don't get that kind of love with most music communities.

Death Machine has yet to release any recorded material, which is fine because their live performances are likely one of the best you’ll see while trolling the Okanagan for Metal.
Humble attitudes, crushing back and forth guitar solos and kit runs that will leave you seeing double, this quartet of headbangers will impress any music lover who dares to gaze upon them.
