What genre do you categorize your music as?
Noise Pop. Whenever we pick up instruments that's what comes out.
How did David the Comic come to be?
The three of us have been friends for years and years and playing music became an avenue for that friendship.
What other artists inspire you and who has influenced the band?
Our influences include: We Are The City, Tigran Hamasyan, The Minecraft soundtrack by C418, Argo Vals and Los Lonely Boys.
We try to channel the lovechild of Jeff Goldblum and Kayne West who aspires to become a stand up comic.
How long have you been a part of the Okanagan music scene and what are your thoughts on it?
As David the Comic we have been involved with the scene for three years but longer than that in Cailas' basement.
The best part of our time together would have to be the friendships we've made and the convenience of playing where we've grown up.

The group may not have much in terms of streamable content, but that's because they don’t really want to, they are more about creating a unique live show experience.
“To be honest, we don't have much online mostly we like to play live, but are now in the process of doing some actual recordings,” said the group.
What are you most proud of?
Pushing back on more of the corporate musical interest and focusing on community building and founding our music and sound on a philosophy of friendship.
What does music mean to you?
We try and tell stories from places of intimacy, the intimacy of friendship and companionship. Mostly, the three of us just try and allow each other to express ourselves and have as much fun as possible.

We make decisions by making sure each of us are happy and excited about where a song might be going. We've got lots of songs that we just don't play because we haven't found the right movements to make sure we're satisfied with where a song has gone or what it's become.
In terms of what it means to others we can't really say, you'd have to ask people who might have heard of us or come to one of our shows. We hope a sentiment of friendship is conveyed; friendship, earnestness, and joy.

What has been your favourite performance to date?
We played once in the Atrium at the University. It was organized by a friend of ours, Dushun WIlson (@insanidee), and focused on organic soundscapes and utilized the tall open room.
It was well designed and we played with our best friends Post Modern Connection. A night to remember.
