Canada Day is less than a week away so it’s time to get excited for Kelowna’s celebrations.
As per usual, the festivities will take place downtown with more than 20,000 people expected to take part in the fun between Waterfront Park, Stuart Park and Kerry Park.
To accommodate the event, however, there will be a number of road closures and parking restrictions in place.

Water Street will be closed from Cawston Avenue to Sunset Drive from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, but access to the Delta Hotel and Prospera Place parking lots will remain open.
The Mill Street and Dolphins parking lot, on the other hand, will be closed from 6 a.m. until midnight on Sunday.
Some street parking will also be restricted from 6 a.m. until midnight, both in front of Kerry Park on Bernard Avenue and on Water Street near Stuart Park.
Residents are encouraged to park in one of downtown’s three parkades if driving to the festivities on Sunday.
