Local HVAC, electrical and automation specialist Kimco Controls is connecting commercial, institutional, multi-unit residential and light industrial buildings in the Thompson Okanagan with a FortisBC rebates program for energy-efficiency upgrades.

The program provides funding to help facilities identify and implement cost-effective strategies to conserve energy and save money in the long run.

The program provides funding in three different ways. First, energy study funding covers up to half the cost of a detailed engineering analysis, conducted by Kimco Controls, to identify energy saving opportunities.

Once the analysis is complete, capital incentive funding is offered to help offset the cost to implement the energy conservation measures.

Implementation bonus funding is also available to those who successfully implement the approved measures.

These rebates can save business owners and building managers up to thousands of dollars on environmentally responsible upgrades to their facilities.
