Soaking up every cultural moment is a full time job for hip-hop fans.

Between the ye album drops and the Drizzy beefs, fans are most rewarded when taking notice of their local scene.

In Kelowna, that scene is highlighted by Rare Breed.

Fronted by MC’s Kam and Con, Rare Breed is a collective of Kelowna artists that are making some serious moves.

Recently, those moves involved a trip to Los Angeles where the group rubbed shoulders with professionals, hit the studio and documented the journey with a music video.

Created by videographer Aaron DeSilva, the footage captures the group's vibe and signature style.

Rare Breed puts in work when it comes to showcasing that style, perfecting their on camera personas almost daily.

The group has been releasing weekly vlogs since they created Rare Breed (that's about 522 days of filming), with the footage featuring an inspiring mix of friendship, adventures and of course, music. 

"We wanted to bring people along the journey with us," explained Rare Breed's media manager Jordan Ambrosio. 

"It keeps the fans invested so they know what's up on a weekly basis.

The more you put yourself out there, the more people you meet and artists seem to draw each other together. It's how we started working with Aaron and Jordan Powers of the Film Factory, it has been awesome to watch the relationships grow."

Together with in-house producer Gow, lyrists Kam and Con have cultivated a smooth, laid-back sound that honestly feels like something Post Malone might smoke one to.

However, that's not to say a Rare Breed live show doesn't turn up, the group is sure to have the crowd bouncing when they hit the stage this year at Center of Gravity.
