Public meeting for Cariboo region evacuees tonight

A public meeting for evacuees from the Cariboo Regional District, including Williams Lake and 100 Mile House, will take place in Kamloops tonight at the Sagebrush Theatre. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Residents will be given updates from the Cariboo Regional District, B.C. Wildfire Service, RCMP, Emergency Management B.C. and Interior Health.

A shuttle bus will depart TRU Residence and Conference Centre at 5:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Shuttles will be provided from Sandman Centre between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The Carboo Regional District will also be live streaming the meeting on its Facebook page.
