  • ‘Prince of Kelowna’: Kelowna man wins Big Brother Canada

Some call him the Prince of Kelowna, others call him the Great Dane, but now Canada can call him Big Brother Canada's season seven victor.

Dane Rupert, a 27-year-old civil technician from Kelowna, has officially championed Big Brother Canada, scoring the $100,000 grand prize, a $25,000 home furnishing makeover, $10,000 worth of groceries, and an trip for two anywhere in the world.

Rupert took the victory over Anthony Douglas in a jury vote, in which they made their case for why they deserved to be crowned BBCAN's season seven victor.

Rupert took the win over his opponent with the jury voting 7-0 for the Prince of Kelowna. Over his time in the Big Brother house he had four Head of House wins, two Power of Veto scores and was nominated to be booted from the house twice.

Despite being on the chopping block a couple of times, Dane did what he came to do and was the last contestant standing.
