Prince George RCMP had a sharp Friday as they received a report of unwanted persons at a residence in Salmon Valley.
According to police, at 2 p.m., officers attended the residence and found that people were squatting in the house and refusing to leave. Officers entered the residence and removed the lone man inside.
As a result of observations made by police while in the house, a Criminal Code search warrant was obtained. The search found two loaded firearms, a pistol and a long gun, an unloaded long gun, brass knuckles, ammunition, and small amounts of cocaine, psilocybin, fentanyl, and heroin. The man was only arrested for firearm offenses.
A woman believed to be associated with the property was located in a vehicle nearby and arrested. The BC Prosecution Service has approved charges against 27-year-old Ryan Moore of Prince George. Those charges include Careless use of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Loaded Firearm.
Moore has been remanded in custody and will make a court appearance on June 5th. The woman was released without charges.
