Prince George RCMP's Sex Crimes Unit has begun an investigation into sexual offenses committed against a 16-year-old girl.
According to police, the investigation began on November 29th after officers received a complaint from the public. The next day, police executed a search warrant on the 900 block of Victoria Street and arrested 35-year-old Kevin James Belcourt.

The BC Prosecution Service has charged Belcourt with two counts of child luring and making sexually explicit material to a child, as well as one count of sexual interference, distributing child pornography, failing to comply with a probation order, and failing to comply with probation.
All of these charges are directly related to one youth. Investigators are releasing Belcourt's information and photo to the public in an attempt to determine if there were further victims.
Police believe Belcourt communicated with the victim via SnapChat, which facilitated the in-person meetings. Belcourt's SnapChat names included "Emily Mojo," "James Biggs," and "Eddy100."
Anyone who had contact with those accounts between July and December is asked to contact the Sex Crimes Unit at (250)561-3300.
