Prince George RCMP responded quickly when hearing reports of a shooting on Saturday. 

According to RCMP, just before 6:30 am, police were called to a man with a gunshot wound at a residence on Irwin Street. Frontline officers spoke with the victim who was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

The scene of the shooting was determined to be in the parking lot of a local credit union on the corner of Central Street and 5th Avenue. 

Investigators are requesting the public to help identify the people involved and are asking anyone in the area with security cameras to contact police. The incident is not believed to be random and occurred as a result of a disagreement between the victim and small group of suspects.
