Prince George RCMP arrested a wanted man on Wednesday after finding him hiding on a rooftop. 

According to police, at noon, officers attended a second-floor apartment in the 1400 block of 3rd Avenue in an attempt to locate 26-year-old Johnny James Boys. Boys was wanted on multiple arrest warrants at the time.

Shortly after knocking on the apartment door and announcing "police," Boys was seen fleeing from the exterior window of the apartment onto an adjacent roof. Officers pursued and arrested Boys who was located hiding in a ventilation shaft on another roof. 

During the search incidental to arrest, Boys was found in possession of a significant amount of cash, cocaine, and methamphetamine. On September 11th, an arrest warrant was issued for  Boys after he failed to attend court to answer to several charges related to break & enter and weapons possession.

Boys will be held in custody overnight and attend court on Thursday. Further charges related to the arrest will be considered.
