Poll: Should e-scooters be allowed on residential streets?

E-scooters have been a hot topic since their arrival to Kelowna in 2021.

Legally, they are allowed to be ridden under the same rules as bikes and e-bikes as part of the provincial pilot project, which will continue until April 2024.

As it stands, an e-scooter cannot have a motor that has a continuous power output rating that in total exceeds 500 W. They also cannot have a motor that is capable of propelling the e-scooter at a speed that exceeds 24 km/h on a clean, paved and level surface.
