Police seek owner of ring found in Nanaimo parking lot

The Nanaimo RCMP are hoping to find the owner of a ring that was turned in to the detachment in November 2022.

Police said the person who found the ring told officers that he had just parked his vehicle and stepped out into a downtown parkade when he noticed the ring lying on the ground.

He held onto it for a couple of days, and then decided to turn it over to the police for safe keeping.

“Given where it was located, the ring had most likely fallen out of a vehicle,” said R/Cst Gary O'Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.

If anyone can identify the ring or knows who may own it, please contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file # 2022-40052.
