PHOTOS: Kelowna captures the solar eclipse

The highly anticipated solar eclipse came and went on Monday morning with millions of eyes across North America tuning in.

In Kelowna, the peak of the eclipse was 10:25 a.m. and while it didn't get dark like it did in Oregon, it got noticeably dimmer for a handful of minutes.

At KelownaNow, we were parked out on our roof taking high-quality photos that you can see below, but we weren't the only ones capturing the rare phenomenon.

Here are some of our photos (see the full album here) and a few more from people capturing the eclipse from all over the Okanagan.
